In order to deposit funds and trade with them on our platform it is necessary to verify your email address first and complete the **KYC** (Know Your Customer) verification process. **KYC** and **AML** (Anti Money Laundering) procedures have become the standard ones in most financial institutions and cryptocurrency trading platforms. 

**KYC** is a procedure required by the regulatory bodies and laws in order to verify the identity of cash handlers and on our platform, it is fairly easy to go through. Here you may find a convenient step-by-step walkthrough of how to complete the KYC verification process. 

1.  Log into your Xcalibra account. Upon logging in you will see the blinking indicator in the upper right corner informing you to check your inbox and verify your email address. If you are not able to locate the verification email in your inbox, you may request another one.

2.  Once you receive the confirmation email, please click on the ***Verify Your Email*** button to confirm your registration.

3.  After you have confirmed your email, the email icon will turn green, and the KYC0 icon will start blinking. In order to complete this level of KYC, just click on the blue button ***KYC VERIFICATION*** and follow the steps.

4.  You will be presented with another blue button saying ***BEGIN KYC VERIFICATION***, and you should click this button as well. In order to request KYC verification, you will be asked to fill in the necessary information, including the name, surname, nationality (the country from which you register), date of birth, name, and postal code of the city in which you reside and your phone number.

5.  When you click ***SUBMIT*** button at the bottom of this form, you will be asked to enter a six-digit code that you have received in an SMS.

6.  In order to start the Verification, please click ***START*** when you see this window.

7.  You will be asked to submit photos of a personal document that confirms the veracity of the information you have previously entered. You shall take a photo of the front and back of the ID card and upload it to the provided fields. It is important that the photo is good quality, well lit and that your face is clearly visible, as well as all the data in your document (name and surname, nationality, date of birth, and MRZ code). That code is on the back of the ID card and that is why it is necessary to take a picture of that part and attach it to the form.   
      
    You can also enclose a photo of your passport as a verification document, and in this case, you will only need to photograph the first page because it contains all the necessary information.

8.  For the following steps of the verification process it may be more convenient to use a mobile device, and if you decide to do so please select the option ***Prefer to use your mobile***.

9.  Then, you will be given a QR code to scan or you can enter your email address again to get the link for further steps.

10.  After you have uploaded the photo of your document you will be asked to review it and confirm the upload.

11.  Upon clicking ***Confirm*** your browser will request access to your camera in order to take a photo of your face.

12.  You shall grant access to your camera, and follow the instructions for taking a photo.

13.  When you have provided all the necessary data, your information will be reviewed and your account verified as an Advanced account.

Using the Xcalibra API

1.  Please visit the [Xcalibra website](https://xcalibra.com/) and ***Sign in*** to your account.  
      
    
2.  After you have logged in, please click on ***Settings***.

7.  Click ***CONFIRM*** within this email and your account email will be changed.

3.  Find the **Two Factor Authentication** section and click on the ***ENABLE*** button.

4.  When you click on ***ENABLE***, you will get a ***QR code*** and 16-digit authenticator ***key code***. 

5.  Open Google Authenticator/Authy app on your phone and ***scan the QR code***.  
      
    How to scan the code? Open the Google Authenticator/Authy App and click on the **"+"** button. Select ***Scan a barcode*** and point the phone to the screen. Please ensure you keep a **backup of your 16-digit authenticator key code**. Write it on a piece of paper and store in a secure location, for example.  
      
    
6.  After you have scanned the code, please click the ***NEXT*** button.

7.  Then enter the six-digit code from your App to the Box and click ***SUBMIT***.

   Now, every time you want to log in or perform some security-sensitive action, you will be prompted with an additional verification step.

## **How to disable 2FA** 

1.  After you have logged in, please click on ***Settings***.

6.  Open the **Google Authenticator**/**Authy** **App** on your phone and find the 6-digit code. Enter that code and finish the process. 

**How to keep a session alive**

1.  After you have logged in, please click on ***Settings***.

    When logged in but inactive, your browser will ping the platform every 10 minutes to ***keep your session alive***. If disabled, your session will expire after 30 minutes of inactivity.

## **How to enable IP Security**

1.  After you have logged in, please click on ***Settings***.

4.  Here you can view the **IP addresses** of your requests and log out in case of unusual or suspicious activity. *You can pick from three types of IP security settings:* **Off** - We will not perform any IP checks once your session is established. **Loose** - You will be able to roam within a certain range between requests. This is a suitable setting if you like to trade on your phone or laptop. **Strict** - Every request must come from the same IP address. This is suitable if you're using a desktop computer with a stable internet connection, or a fixed VPN.
 

Setting up security features for your account (2FA, Live sessions, IP Security)

Maintenance is required for necessary updates and upgrades to ensure stability.

6.  Once you receive the confirmation email, please click on the ***Verify Your Email*** button to confirm your registration.

How to open an account on Xcalibra?

You can click on the ***transaction ID link*** from your email to follow your transaction on the blockchain.

When the transaction has ⅙ or 3 (if you are sending BTC to the exchange) confirmations, the funds will show on your wallet.

My withdrawal status is complete. What do I do now?

Please be patient. The pending status is a security measure to allow an agent to review and approve the transaction manually for security reasons/safety of the funds.
